A Project of necessity

This is the little gear shift mitten I made one day. I had posted earlier that I have a cute car I love, that has a metal gear shift knob. It would be nice except I live in cold Vermont. Now my hand doesn't freeze

New News for the New Year

Happy New Year to all!

Here are some things that I have planned for the very near future

  1. I have gotten lots of inquires about my Johnny5 Cardi pattern. Here is what I am going to do. I have decided to expand the pattern to include several sizes and variations as well as very detailed instructions for those who have completely manual machines such as the USM. I will be making this available as a pdf.
  2. I am setting up a book of patterns specifically made on the Artisan mid-guage that are all my copywrighted material. These all include methods of adapting to any machine/yarn and much more info that is good for any machine. So, I'm asking for your help about the contents.....please take the polls I have set up. I want my books to contain what is wanted and needed.
It's gotten real cold here. Lots of snow. I bought a new car in November. I adore everything about it. It only has one flaw.....it's a major one when you live in Vermont. My gearshift knob is metal. That's right, METAL!!!!! There is nothing worse than starting up the car, letting it warm up and then going to put in in reverse and getting instant frostbite!

I solved that problem.....out came the yarn and circular needles. I made a knob cosey!!!
i am grafting it right now...I'll take pics in the morning! Its so cute.
