In process of moving
I am starting the process of moving. Im standing here looking at my craft room, and the other room it has overflowed into....what a nightmare!!! I have many machines, tubs and containers of yarn everywhere, shelves of books, patterns and notebooks; Cabinets full of hand and machine knitting tools and accessories. That's only the beggining. I also have all kinds of lampworking equipment, boxes of glass rods and gadgets. Jewelry making supplies, beads, bead making stuff, etc. Over 25 years of collecting wires, threads and supplies for sculpting, painting, needlepoint....You name it. I don't quite know where to begin. I am totally at a loss.
Once I finally get moved and can get all my goodies set up again, I will really work hard at getting some of my original patterns up here. Right now I just don't have that kind of time.
They say Patience is a virtue. That's one virtue I'll never possess.

If you are like me, you have dozens of WIP's. If you are obsessed with crafts like me then you have dozens of WIP's for each craft you crave!! I am in the process of gathering my original patterns for hand and machine knitting to create a book. The problem is that I like to design and make so many different types of items I can never seem to concentrate long enough to make more than one of anything. Socks are the worst!!! It doesn't matter if they are hand or machine knit, by the time I finish the first one I come up with so many new ideas or modifications, that the second one never matches. By the time I do a second (or am I always making one? I can never tell!) I am already plotting the new cotton tank top Im going to make with the yarn I bought in the middle of our long cold winter. At the moment, I am beading a beautiful necklace I'll wear to my sons graduation, waiting for the paint to dry on a dragon sculpture I just made so I can put a nice varnish on it; almost 4 pairs of socks finished, one pair on dpn's, another on the knitting machine, another on 2 circulars, and trying to learn 2 at once on circulars. Since the warm weather finally arrived I broke out all of my lampworking goodies so that I can make some glass beads. I also tat with both needle and shuttle. I love to make intricate and dainty trims for my knitted and crocheted garments.
I do hope that in time, my blog will contain helpful information for all kinds of crafts, patterns for hand knitting, machine knitting, tatting and crochet, and of course lots of pictures!!
